Privacy policy
What we collect
Account details (name, email, password hash), onboarding answers (native language, goal, level, interests), learning activity (lessons, answers, scores), conversation transcripts with the AI tutor, and – when you use voice – short audio clips needed to transcribe and evaluate your speech. Payment details are handled by Razorpay; we store only order and payment identifiers.
How we use it
To personalise lessons and tutor responses, measure your progress, schedule revision, provide support and process subscriptions. Aggregated, de-identified usage may be used to improve the curriculum and AI prompts.
AI processing
Your sentences and audio are sent from our servers to the configured AI providers to generate transcripts, feedback and tutor replies. Providers are contractually restricted from using your data to train their models where the provider offers that option. API keys never reach your browser or phone.
Retention and deletion
You can export or delete your account and all learning data from Profile → Settings. Deleted data is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
Security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Sessions use short-lived access tokens with rotating refresh tokens. All traffic is encrypted in transit. Provider credentials are encrypted at rest.
Children
Lingora is intended for learners aged 13 and above. Under-18 learners should use the service with parental consent.
